The trip was ok but in my cabin there were 4 beds and 7 people ended up sleeping there. Also, there were no curtains in each bed to block the light (which was on all night long) and for privacy.

Very good trip right from the moment of check-in with complimentary drink. Cabin was clean and the toilet/ bathroom was regularly cleaned. WiFi on board was a bonus (could follow the Wimbledon men’s final and cricket World Cup final as we travelled). Would recommend as part of the Vietnam experience.

Bus was slightly late to pick is up at Hanoi Station and wasn't clear which bus was ours when it did arrive. Ac and toilet worked fine and bus had a few toilet stops as well as a breakfast stop (bowl of Pho included with ticket) at 6am or so. drivers were friendly and didn't shout at us unlike other night buses we've taken so overall was a good trip. Slept well

The cabin was spacious and cool. The beds were as comfortable as many hostel beds we’ve stayed in. The staff were really helpful too - they told us when the train was slightly delayed. I would recommend spending a bit extra for a private cabin for the longer journeys.

Bathrooms were disgusting, my cabin was nice and clean, but one woman was complaining of roaches in hers. It was an ok experience. Train was bumpy so was unable to get a good nights rest, but it could have been worse.

Got me where I needed to be, very clean rooms. Was difficult to sleep as the train tracks are quite uneven, but you’ll get this on any transport - was super nice to have a bed rather than sit up. Be aware roommates might snore!!

Nice and comfortable. Friendly receptionist although does not speak English at all. You can sense a kind of not nice smell but at the end this is just a train. I also recommend to keep your own pillow with you. Overall price / quality ratio is acceptable although not most attractive.

Very nice trip. The beds and room were tidy, blankets adequate. Nice free snacks and drinks.. Star of the trip was the scenery- Amazing. Toilet wasn't too scary by the journeys end. Hardest part was the confusion of checkin at Hanoi Train Station. But this was worked out by us and the rest was easy.

Air conditioning weak at times. Seat didn't recline as far as others. Seats uncomfortable and these were the soft seats. Train was delayed.

The two person cabin was nice and clean. It actually looked better in real life than in the photos. I have read many horror stories about the normal four person cabins on regular trains in Vietnam with dirty linen and mice running around. Laman Express was definitely something completely different. The ride was a bit bumpy, but we still managed to get a pretty good night sleep. We are very light sleepers and were prepared to stay awake the whole night. So this was a pleasant surprise.

Good trip from Hanoi to Hue. The soft sleepers weren't that soft but got a sleep in. Beer, diet coke and water provided (one of each per person) also tea and coffee and a pastry.

Train was very comfortable. We received a free upgrade but it came by email only a couple of days before. There was confusion about allowing us to board due to the change. A little worrying at the station, but the upgrade was nice.

We paid for a VIP 2 berth so we didn’t have to share. Beds were comfy and had proper Pillows and duvets. Walls were slightly dirty and so were the curtains. No one checked our tickets or came round with any food menus etc. There was just free water in the cabin on arrival. The train we took Bangkok - Chiang mai was much better at service. Slept okay it is noisy and bumpy but great view. We went from Hanoi - Hue

Clean and comfortable transportation with great possibilities to see the countryside. The only disadvantage for me was that I didn’t purchase separate bed for me and my baby so we didn’t have enough space. Otherwise I warmly recommend it to anyone traveling Vietnam. Restrooms are very decent and we didn’t see any bugs around like some reviews mentioned. Would do it again for sure!
